Directors? any coming back is fine with me. Writers however I would like to see some changes for the 3rd season. Wasn't real happy with the writing this season and some of the episodes and there seems to be a recurring thread through those episodes and it was writers.

I would like to see some women directors. My mother was a TV director and I know there are some very good ones out there, though unfortunately I cannot name them. I also very much like Larry Teng's style and I know the cast really likes him.
Ah, the writing, KC! Like you I have given great thought to this and where I think the real problems lie. IMHO, the problem rests with the EPs. There are two reasons for this:
- They are responsible for establishing the season narrative and not the writers. This means the main plots and subplots.
- The writers propose and follow directions to a,degree. There are flashes of brilliance in each episode, but overall it is not consistent throughout a script. One writer I have noted - Paula Yoo, appears to be good. I thought the last episode was overall well done, except for the Lyra/Guardian subplot. I also very much liked Mr/Mrs. Mxy written in part by the great Sterling Gates.
Just my opinion,
Argo

I don't want to go negative on a specific writer, but I have to disagree with one. :In my opinion the last episode (ep. 18) was the weakest of the season, BUT, I am in the minority on that I know...

As far as writers go, Derek Simon is my favorite....I miss his team ups with Ted Sullivan....A LOT...

2) Tom Cavanagh (plays H.R on The Flash) - He directed the most recent episode of The Flash (S3 E19) and did a great job, maybe they could borrow him to direct an episode of Supergirl.
I'm not sure that you can so easily transplant those actors turned directors to another show. I think on many shows that run for long they let one of the actors direct sometimes, but I think that mostly works because they know the show and the crew so well, that doesn't mean they would be as good at directing a foreign show or crew.
