Here's my new Thanksgiving Supergirl fan fiction story (#100)! Hope you guys like it!

Some pretty simple chemistry this time, too:

2 C2H2 + 5 O2 --------> 4 CO2 + 2 H2O:

Here's one of the Mylar "turkey balloons" I was talking about in the story!

And here's a real-life demonstration of what I was writing about in this story!

Here's what it sounds like a little closer up - like on your back porch!

100 stories? Stew, you are almost equal to the # of shows of Supergirl, which is set to crack 100 in 2020. And by the way...I love that old Superman radio poster...with the mention of Mutual Broadcasting's founding station 710 WOR. By the way, in CT, we had some Mutual affiliates, including Waterbury's WWCO 1240. When Superman went to ABC for its last couple of years it was on WATR 1320. And yes I also remember seeing a Superman balloon in the Macy's parade...maybe in the 80's.

Happy Thanksgiving, Professor Stew!!!!!!!!

Thanks, Argo!

But to be honest, it's actually from my computer keyboard and flash drive! LOL!

Hope you guys enjoyed my references to "Three's Company" and the Lewis & Clark Expedition :)

Yes, it's called the "Nostalgia Channel" in my story universe! (And apparently, Alex is familiar with it, too. :)

Same to you, superbill! :)

Kara said: "That’s for sure! It scared the crap out of me! I figured it might blow up in front of me – but I wasn’t expecting a blast like that out of it!"

No doubt as to why, either. The enthalpy of formation for acetylene is +226.88 kJ/mol. That's the energy you need to put in to form the compound - and it's all released at once when it's oxidized (in this case, with pure oxygen, too!).

As the Chords sang, "Sh-Boom"!
