I was going to attach these to the Reign thread but, since Reign is a main character with a lot of already known detail defined, I thought that it would be best for these World Killers to have their own thread.

So, here's a thread to discuss the rest of the Dispensers of Justice :)

First up, we have Purity.

Purity
- Purity as defined > freedom from anything that debases, contaminates, pollutes, etc.
- Appears to have been living a normal life
- Woke up after getting smashed with a car
- Human form is named Julia Freeman
- adopted in 1993
- allergic to milk

Powers
- sonic sound
- strength
- flight

Pestilence
-Pestilence - fatal epidemic disease
-Human form is Dr. Grace Parker
-Seems to be aware of her WK persona and is okay with it

Powers
- can infect others through scratch
-evolves into the Blight in the future
-flight
-strength

Alex said the virus wasn’t spread from bird to bird and that each bird got it from the host (Pestilence). Basically the virus isn’t contagious. That’s why Alex and Winn felt safe going into city hall without hazmat suits and sent the victims to the hospital rather than quarantineing them. Being next to Winn didn’t make James sick because he didn’t have physical contact with Pestilence like Alex and Winn did. I see where you got confused because during the same conversation LoH said the Blight is highly contagious. We don’t know if the Blight has a human form. At this point Pestilence still has a human body and requires contact to infect her victims she evolves into the Blight and her virus becomes contagious.
Yeah, I heard Alex say that and knew she and Winn got sick through contact with Pestilence. I guess I just really don't see how all of those birds could have gotten the virus as a result of a scratch by Pestilence at the same time. That is more indicative of an airborne virus. So, I thought I maybe missed a conversation that explained it.

The birds were just there for effect. Or, Pestilence bought a bunch of birds, scratched them and then, sent them out for effect.

I am sad to say that I am not entirely sure the writers thought through that one. It would have better sense to have it happen later when Pestilence had grown in powers a bit.

So my new WK thoughts:

Julia/Purity-50/50 on whether she'll die before the end of the season
Grace/Pestilence- Let Imra kill her already, shes beyond help even in human form.
Sam/Reign- Kill Reign and save Sam please!! Sam is also the only one who is actively resisting her WK form, which is why I guess Reign feels the need to go after Ruby in Shelter from the Storm.

The last episode, we were officially introduced to Pestilence. I have updated the information in the thread description.

I am a bit confused on Pestilence's ability to infect others and her current state. When the birds fell from the sky, Alex stated that the virus was contagious and spread through the air, which would make sense because not all of the birds would have been scratched at one time. Imra stated that this was a sign of Pestilence evolving into the Blight.

However, later in the episode, they said that it wasn't contagious and that the victims were infected through a scratch. I believe it was Imra who then stated that she hadn't evolved into the Blight yet. But, this doesn't really follow with the birds all dropping from the sky at once.

Did I miss some dialogue that explained this difference? Does the Blight take on a human form or is it shapeless?

Could Pestilence Be the Real Villain of ‘Supergirl’ Season 3?, from brinkwire.com.

That would fit with season 1 and 2, where a villain is presented but in the final episodes a NEW final villain is presented. Again I want them to focus on saving/seperating Sam from Reign as well.
I really don't know what they mean by real villain. Reign has been a main threat since Episode 9 and will most likely continue. Purity was just introduced and has only been in one episode, so I think it's a little early to say that she has been cast off easily to the side. I do think that Pestilence will be a formidable force as she is the only one that the Legion says is a force in the future. She may be the glue that holds all three together. However, I think it will be the combination of all three that is the real villain for most of the remaining season.

After the last episode there's one thing I want to see. An Unmasked Reign , like Reign mocking supergirl saying that Sam is dead or something, even unmasking to fight her with Sam's face bare. But yeah I say that for Sam the stakes are possibly even more personal then for Kara. She needs to beat Reign just as bad as Kara does, if not for her own continued existence, then for her daughter.

I think Purity was lying to rile Kara up during the interrogation. She was trying to reach Julia and Purity was pretending that there is no Julia. This is corroborated by the fact that the hologram lady says Purity is a newborn and later in the subway station, Purity talks to Kara about Julia being in there as a revelation; sort of like "Guess what? I have been lying all this while. Now, you watch while I make Julia suffer."

I think it was the accident as well as Reign being triggered that brought forth Purity.

And.. yeah.. I hope that they have some spectacular ending planned because I don't want another myriad. But, I don't want another S2 style ending either where Kara just punches through.
Yes, it's very possible that what Purity told Kara was a lie. I don't think she can be considered a trustworthy alien :D .

But, where it gets confusing is with the introduction to Purity.
- Purity said that they knew when they arrived that they had to wait for everything to align before they would emerge. Again, this alignment may have been Sam hitting that stage and Reign's emergence since it appears as though Reign is the leader of the group.
- However, where it diverges is in the fact that it almost seemed as though Purity's awakening was triggered by the car accident that she had. This doesn't really mesh with her comment about the events lining up or being a result of Reign's emergence. Unless the car accident wasn't really an accident and someone purposely ran her down. But, that's a stretch.

Based on the fact that both Sam and Julia are still present within the body of Reign and Purity, I think that the solution will be to try to get those consciousnesses to become stronger and take control back over their bodies.

However, I am really hoping that the solution isn't going to be one that involves some speech by Kara, similar to how Myriad was dissolved. That type of resolution would be a complete let down to what has been a very strong, complex plot in my opinion.

I'm not sure that destroying the crystals would have any effect on the World Killers. Those crystals look similar to the one that Superman used and it doesn't have any direct effect on his abilities. The World Killers are individuals who were genetically created in a lab. Of course, we don't know exactly how they work but, without having any other information available and going with the way genetics in general works, my guess is that being a World Killer is just a natural part of who they are.

It's actually a tad confusing to try and figure out why exactly it is that the WK have now emerged.
- The hologram told Sam that Reign was supposed to awaken earlier but, was delayed by Sam's early pregnancy. That leads me to believe that their transition into WK's might be similar to the way humans go through the developmental stages hence, a genetic reason for their change.
- We know that Sam started having the dreams before she got the crystal so, that might go along with the theory that she finally hit the stage the hologram spoke of.

But, where it gets confusing is with the introduction to Purity.

Purity’s costume it’s not all black but no cape.

That looks similar to the one in Kara's dream? And seems from now on we will see Purity and Reign trying to attack as a team? And I think its not just the crystal, but the hologram lady and the evil fortress as a whole that needs to be destroyed before Sam and Julia can regain their lives.

3 Crazy Theories About the Third Worldkiller on 'Supergirl', from buddytv.com.
The internet seems to want Lena but this article fails to say what happened in Luthors that makes what Lillian told Lena, that Lionel had an affair and Lena is his daughter, ring true. Lena was able to open Lex’s vault which required Luthor DNA.

Imra would be an interesting twist. I really don’t think it’s going to be Kara.

Here’s my new theory, all the Worldkillers except Sam/Reign won’t have a personal relationship with Kara or anyone else, Julia/Purity doesn’t. Kara’s decided that the way to stop the Worldkillers is to save them. What if Kara can’t save all of them and has to decide between saving her friend Sam and the others. Having to decide between saving her friend and two strangers would be a great moral dilemma for Kara.

Yeah I honestly dont think the last WK is going to be Imra either. I do think her agenda was something she definitely wasnt telling the others though, and needs to come clean eventually.

Also I wonder if they can continue to get through to Julia after this or not.

I agree, Brierrose. I don't think that the third World Killer is anyone that Kara knows and I don't think that it is Kara either. When they put the four photos of the possible WK on the screen at the end of For Good, they stated something about two of them being the WK's and Julia was one of them. So, that leaves the remaining 3 as possibilities for the last one.

I can't remember if we talked about this or not but, going back to what Coville stated in Reign, he mentioned the End of Days. This could be somewhat of a parallel to the Apocalypse that is discussed in Christianity's Book of Revelations from the New Testament. Coville talks about signs, which are also referenced in the Revelations. In the Apocalypse, there are four horsemen (seals that are opened) with three of them representing war, famine and death. I think that Reign, Purity and Pestilence are representing three of those symbols but, are modified to fit the SG mythology. If so, then maybe a twist at the end of the season is that there is a fourth WK and depending on one's interpretation of the Horsemen, this last figure could either be someone who represents righteousness or evil. If it is righteousness, then perhaps that could be Kara. If it is evil, then maybe it is one of the scientists (possibly even Alura or Zor-El) or the hologram in the Fortress of Sanctuary.

In the Book of Revelations, after these four seals are opened, the remaining seals are opened destroying the world by earthquakes and burning - which could be how the world's in the 31st century end up being destroyed. And maybe it's not the Legion's DNA that is necessary to stop the WK but, Kara's and she doesn't survive in the original timeline because instead of eliminating Sam, Julia and the third one, Kara tries to save them and it backfires. Perhaps Imra and Brainy know this and if Kara is indeed involved in some way, then that is why they came back and didn't tell Mon-El.

But, on the other hand, when Kara was interrogating Purity, Purity mentioned something about her and the other gods eating Alex's heart? That almost sounds more like Greek mythology to me so, who knows, maybe they're combining some aspects of Christianity and Greek mythology ;) .

I was trying to determine rather or not Purity has some type of power to shake the ground. In the scenes of her coming out of the DEO and then in the subway, the ground and building was shaking and falling but, she wasn't emitting any type of sound.

So, what do you think? Is that a separate power that she has or is it somehow related to her sonic sound power?

So the CW released a clip of Kara's dream, and here we see Reign with two other figures, the first is Purity in a suit and the other is in shadow.

https://twitter.com/TheCWSupergirl/status/958505127324733440

So from that we should say that all of the Worldkillers are able to fly?

Also from next weeks promo we should update Purity's powers to include that sonic scream she showed.

So it seems we will only have two other world killers besides Reign, the other one being in shadow makes me wonder if its someone we already know (Imra?) Or someone entirely new they still have not cast yet.
Yeah, I thought I would wait to update her powers until after the show in case there is more to it and her than that and just catch it all at once.

I'll be really interested in what all Purity can do. I'm just confused at how many more there actually are at the moment. Obviously, we have Reign, Purity and the third one in the dream, who I am guessing is Pestilence. I'm not sure if Power is supposed to be Reign. It didn't appear to me that that was who the Priestess was referring to when she told Kara about them but, I also know that Kara mentioned only the other two and now this dream only has two more. It could be there is another, named Power and they're deliberately holding back information. Or, it not. Guess we'll just wait and see.
